Holy Cross College is excited to welcome Ann Bingham, Ph.D., to campus in the role of Assistant Professor and Academic Director of the Education Program. She has a master’s degree in both secondary math instruction and educational leadership and a doctorate in educational leadership.
“I have worked for 20 years in K-12 education as a teacher, educational consultant, and district administrator. My research interests include data-driven decision-making, professional learning communities, and best practices around high-quality mathematics instruction,” notes Bingham. “Since I was a young child, I knew I wanted to be an educator! I never wanted to be anything else. Working with learners at all ages is one of the greatest blessings in my life.”
She is excited about her upcoming journey at Holy Cross College and hopes to make a major impact in the education world.
“The teaching profession is in crisis, and I wanted to have the opportunity to form and support aspiring teachers. Additionally, I am looking forward to partnering with local schools to provide more opportunities for young people to explore this noblest of professions,” said Bingham.
What are some things you would like to accomplish at Holy Cross College?
She is energized to accomplish many things on campus, starting with increasing enrollment in our dual-credit, transition to teaching, and American Indian Catholic Schools Network (AICSN) programs.
“I would like to provide undergraduates with opportunities to engage in research around best practices,” said Bingham. She is also excited to partner with the tri-campus area to enrich the undergraduate experience of Holy Cross students.
