Holy Cross College is proud to announce Leading the Holy Cross Way: An Executive Series with President Marco J. Clark, Ed.D. This new class for Holy Cross students is also an opportunity for members of the tri-campus and the local community to come to campus and hear from distinguished leaders in their fields. The first speaker series will take place on Friday, September 6, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. in Driscoll Auditorium and will feature Rev. Edward A. “Monk” Malloy, C.S.C., president emeritus of the University of Notre Dame, theologian, and author.

Fr. Malloy’s topic will bring to life his recent book People First: Reflections on Leadership. His words will inspire leaders from all walks of life who inspire to be forces for good. Fr. Malloy is president emeritus of the University of Notre Dame, where he served from 1987 to 2005 as the sixteenth president and where he is currently a professor of theology. He serves on the board of directors of several universities and national organizations and is the recipient of 25 honorary degrees. He has published 12 books, including a 3-volume memoir and most recently Monk’s Musings and Monk’s Notre Dame: People, Paces, and Events.
This new series builds on Holy Cross College’s mission to educate and form global citizens with the competence to see and the courage to act, and the Leading the Holy Cross Way is centered on the topic of leadership from the perspective of Holy Cross President Dr. Marco J. Clark and invited executives in residence. “The senior executives who will join us on campus,” explains Dr. Marco J. Clark, President, “are known to be individuals of distinction and honor among their peers in terms of accomplishment, character, and Godly leadership over a lifetime – considered to be a leader among leaders. Or, as the apostle Paul would say, ‘a leader above reproach.'”
