Holy Cross College welcomes guests from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland
NOTRE DAME, IN (July 3, 2014) --- On Tuesday, July 8, Holy Cross College will welcome four Polish scholars from the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin – Jadwiga Daszykowska, Barbara Lubas, Piotr T. Nowakowski and Mirosław Rewera – to a seminar focusing on the theme “Enhancing Teaching and Research Quality."
Each of the Polish guests will present an academic paper, as will ten members of the Holy Cross College faculty: Louis Albarran, Dianne Barlas, Isaac Desta, Michael Griffin, Br. George Klawitter, CSC, Sarah Kolda, David Lutz, Adrian Reimers, Br. John Tryon, CSC, and Sean Walton.
The seminar will be convened on the Holy Cross College campus, in the Pfeil Center Conference Room. In addition to the formal program from 9 am to 5 pm, there will be time for informal discussions among the seminar participants.
The purpose of the seminar is not only to improve the teaching and research excellence of the contributors, but also to form an informal relationship between the two institutions that will contribute to higher standards of Catholic education at both of them.
