David Findlay to Talk at Holy Cross College
If you think bankers care only about money, you should think again. The bottom line is that a successful financial career often goes hand-in-hand with significant community service. David Findlay, President of Lakeland Financial Services, is a perfect example and is the next speaker during the Holy Cross College Practical Lessons in $uccess lecture series. The event takes place Wednesday evening, March 20th at Holy Cross College.
Lakeland Financial Corporation, the parent company of Lake City Bank, has total assets of 2.7 billion dollars, with 43 offices throughout Northern Indiana. Findlay oversees numerous activities including finance and accounting, treasury, and risk management, to name just a few. He has also provided his skills as Senior VP and Chief Financial Officer for Quality Dining, Inc. in South Bend and Northern Trust Company in Chicago.
Findlay, despite these important duties, finds time to offer his skills to numerous community organizations. He is a driving force for such groups as the Northern Indiana Workforce Board, Ivy Tech Community College, WNIT Public Television, the Kosciusko United Way, and South Bend's Logan Center.
Findlay's presentation on March 20th will discuss how a strong business career can also provide time for community development.
Holy Cross College business seminars present real world business perspectives and success stories in an open, friendly, academic environment. "Practical Lessons in $uccess" augments the academic experience, yet contains valuable insights for any business executive in today's highly competitive business environment. Members of the Michiana community are welcome to attend the presentations.
Findlay visits Holy Cross Wednesday, March 20th at 7:00 p.m. in Driscoll Auditorium, located in Driscoll Hall on the campus of Holy Cross College.
Seminars are free and open to the public and will be followed by a reception
