Noted children's book editor offers program

In conjunction with Holy Cross College Education Department, Bethel College will be hosting a free family program given by noted children’s book editor Chris Soentpiet on Tuesday, March 26 from 6-8 p.m. in the Bethel College Everest-Rohrer Chapel/Fine Arts Center – Auditorium.

Soentpiet studied fine arts and education at Pratt Institute in New York City, where he then pursued his passion for painting by illustrating children’s books. Soentpiet’s work has been featured in the “New York Times,” “USA Today,” “Houston Chronicle” and “Newsweek.”

This event is sponsored by the Education Departments of Saint Mary’s College, Holy Cross College and Bethel College. This event is free and open to all elementary students and their families, no RSVP necessary.

People are encouraged to come before the presentation at 5:30 p.m. to purchase books. To get pre-signed autographs by Soentpiet, go to http://www.soentpiet.com/program.htm and click on “click here for book order form.” The event will end promptly at 8 p.m.

This event is highly recommended by Carmen Macharaschwili and countless children!
